Still, released on 3.14.12, is Tohoshinki’s 34th single. One More Thing was used as the theme song for the drama Let M Watashi ga Anata wo Aisuru Riyu, Sonohoka no Monogatari.
「STILL」 starts with a light keyboard and percussion sounds before Yunho starts off with quick paced lyrics. They harmonize a little during the bridge as their low vocals come together against the light instrumental, which becomes slightly more busy in the chorus. It’s a sweet song with a nice beat, but something seems like it’s missing. Not quite sure what, but even with that something, it’s a good listen.
Next up is 「One More Thing」, starting off with some echo-y keyboard and Yunho (?)’s low ad-libs. Changmin starts off really low in the first verse before Yunho comes in with a slightly higher key. The chorus picks up the beat with the addition of electronica and synthesizer as they sing, “Baby, one more thing…” I like the verses, but the chorus stands out quite a bit, and not quite in a good way. I also don’t think the “wowowow~” in the chorus fits in at all and seems like a pretty random addition.
「One More Thing -Sakura Version-」 is the same as above, but with a orchestra instrumental. I actually like this version better and I think the “wowowow”s in the chorus are a bit more subdued compared to the original.
A PV was made for STILL. The PV has them singing in a sepia tone with the boys interacting with people. There are also scenes of people walking past them. One girl sits opposite of them in their scenes and she has some focus in the PV as well. By the time the PV is over, they’re sitting alone.
Well, this single was quite nice. Not spectacular, but a overall okay selection. I do like One More Thing better in its Sakura version, but the song overall not so much.
